There are two ways to get your company in front of the faces of every person who reads Bariatric Foodie:
- Advertise on the site
- Submit a product sample for review
Advertising
Imagine...the taco casserole post (by far the most viewed post ever on Bariatric Foodie) with YOUR ad right next to it. Or my protein shake list...with YOUR ad right next to it.
It can happen! If you'd like to advertise on Bariatric Foodie, please email me, Nik, at bariatricfoodie@yahoo.com. Different ad sizes and placement options are available upon request, as are my blog analytics.
Please note that I am committed to preserving an environment that is inviting to weight-loss surgery patients looking to live active and healthy lifestyles. I reserve the right to refuse any ad that conflicts with such an environment. In short: sorry, Doritos people! You cannot have ad space on Bariatric Foodie!
Product Reviews
If you have a product or service that you feel is Foodie-worthy (and I'll explain what that means in a moment), and for which you would like me to do a product review, the best first step is to email Foodie Reviewer Traci McGowan at bfreviews@yahoo.com to express your interest.
I consider a product or service Foodie-worthy if:
- It demonstrates that it meets a specific need of people who either will or have undergone bariatric surgery of any kind
- For food or supplements, your product should be
- Either very low natural sugar, no-sugar added or sugar free
- Free of trans fats
- For protein supplements, your product should NOT include hydrolized or collagen protein - to be fair, those will never get a positive review from me!
- Services should be:
- From companies with a working and reputable website
- Have a clear ordering and return policy
- Demonstrate good customer service communication
Simple, right?
If you've got all that going for you, my review policy should be a piece of cake!
Nik's Review Policy
Bariatric Foodie conducts independent and fair reviews of product samples. Upon submission of a product sample, that sample WILL be reviewed on Bariatric Foodie. The review will give an accounting of the entire experience of your sample, from the customer service, to the packaging, to nutrition information, to looks, to smells, to taste, to texture and any other factor I deem pertinent to my unbiased impression of your product. The resulting review will be an honest account of my impression of the product, without bias or consideration of anything but my experiences with your product and company.
By law, I must disclose to my readers when I have been provided a sample for review. However, providing a sample for review does NOT imply endorsement of the sample or company.
In short, if I like your product, I say I like it and why. If I do not like your product, I will say I do not like it and why. Additionally, if I have a good customer experience with your company, I will say that. And if I do not, I will report that as well.
However, let me restate that upon receipt of a sample for review, I will publish said review, regardless of the outcome of the review (so even if I didn't like the product, I am publishing the review).
